Migration season is on the way, and the Wisconsin Humane Society's Wisconsin Night Guardians for Songbirds (WIngs) program is distributing free WindowAlert clings to help prevent bird window collisions at homes and offices. The special offer is available through April 30 or while supplies last, and is made possible by a grant from the Jeff Rusinow Family Foundation.
Window collisions are fatal for hundreds of thousands of birds every year, but there are many steps birders can take to
prevent window collisions. Window clings are very effective, as are other tactics such as proper feeder placement, avoiding sight corridors and using other methods to break up a window's reflection.
To request your free WindowAlert clings, visit the
Wisconsin Humane Society.
